Winner: Nikola Tsolov
Can anyone stop the Bulgarian? His record-breaking weekend in Silverstone will be hard to top in the second half of the year, but his title rivals might have an even more difficult time catching him in the championship.
His speed in both races was totally unmatched, and he displayed both his patience and racecraft as he pounced on Mini’s Sprint Race mistake and pulled possibly the overtake of the season on Kush Maini on the outside of Copse and into Maggotts and Becketts.
Tsolov’s 17-point lead isn’t insurmountable, but his momentum is strong and his confidence will be sky high as the season moves towards the business end.

Losers: Tsolov’s title rivals
It wasn’t a bad weekend in terms of performance or points scored for Mini, Dunne and Camara – they were simply beaten by the new championship leader.
Mini made an error that he described as “stupid” on Saturday to hand Tsolov victory, while Dunne and Camara might be wondering if they could have stayed ahead with better starts from the front row.
They’ll all be looking at the table and wanting to be the driver who ends Tsolov’s winning streak and takes the fight to the Bulgarian.

Winner: Rafael Villagomez
Four races ago, Villagomez had no points and was bottom of the drivers championship and had seen several chances to collect silverware escape him.
But two rounds later, he’s enjoying his best F2 weekend in his three-year stint in the series, with a double podium and spearheading VAR’s charge up the Teams standings.
It’s not a surprise that the Mexican is delivering these results, as they’ve been coming all year, it’s just been a long time coming.

Loser: Martinius Stenshorne
The Norwegian must be wondering where on earth his speed and luck has gone. Since his classy win in Montreal, he’s scored just 13 points across four rounds – and no points in any of the last three.
What had looked like the early shoots of a title challenge has transformed into a nightmare for the Rodin driver, summed up by his car failing on the way to the grid on Sunday morning.
Qualifying results have been wrecking his chances of points – as well as a penalty in Austria for pitting during a VSC. He needs a reset before Belgium.
Loser: Ritomo Miyata
Having qualified ninth, things were looking up for Miyata and Hitech, who’ve seen any kind of consistency desert them.
But in both races, the Japanese driver lacked pace and reversed his way out of the points, which was particularly alarming in the Sprint Race, as he started on the front row.
After a promising start to the season, Miyata has scored in just two races since the opening round.
Winner: Kush Maini
The Indian has spoken openly about how much he’s enjoying being at ART. And while there have been the highs of Pole Position in Miami and Sprint Race victory in Barcelona, this was perhaps the strongest overall weekend of the year for the Alpine Academy driver.
Maini was third in Qualifying, moved forward in the Sprint and led the early stages of the Feature Race, before settling for the third step on the podium.
There is clear evidence that these performances could soon become the norm rather than surprises.
