Jack Aitken will be hoping to bring home the points this weekend as he and his Campos team target a positive end to this first phase of the 2020 Formula 2 season at The Hungarian Grand Prix.
We take our #RoadtoF1 season to the Hungaroring, Budapest this weekend for some more exciting racing.
Most of the action will be focused on the first sector and if cars do get side by side down the main straight we will all take our breath for some under and overtaking through turns 1 and 2.
Aitken is considered as one of the top drivers in the championship and is aiming to further his impressive form last year.
Looking at the first two rounds, Aitken has delivered two points finishes at the Red Bull Ring, making it three straight finishes in the points for him and the team. Speaking after the race on his social media account he said: “Wrung everything out of that one to get another four points, P6! The DRS train never gets old…”
The British driver was on the podium at the Hungaroring last year so will certainly be hoping for more of the same this week.
“We are looking forward to having a very pleasant weekend. Hungaroring is a track where we did well in the past. At the same time, I think we really made good steps forward as a team in the last two races to understand much better the new tires and rims. Hopefully we can be more competitive straight away this weekend and fight for the wins.”
The Spanish team will be looking themselves to get a solid points finish from both drivers and Team Principal Adrián Campos looks to put all the correct elements together to achieve a first podium finish of the year similar to last year’s result; “Hopefully it will happen as soon as this weekend at the Hungaroring.”
