Roman Bilinski will stay with Trident for his second FRECA campaign in 2023.

The Polish driver finished 18th in the 2022 season and took a sole podium at the Hungaroring for the Italian team.

Bilinski is delighted to be staying with Trident for a second season in FRECA and is looking to build on what he learned last year.

He said: ”I’m really excited to be staying with Trident for another season. It was a big challenge last year, being both of our first years in the championship, but now it’s time to put everything we learned together and really push this season.”

The Trident Team Owner Maurizio Salvadori is eagerly anticipating the 18-year-old’s return to Trident for the upcoming season

“We are delighted to continue working with Roman into the upcoming Formula Regional season.

“After completing our first year in the series, it was key for us to provide some continuity to the project by retaining one of the drivers that already raced with Trident in 2022.

“As a rookie, Roman showed great talent and potential. He also integrated with the team and its work methods extremely well. To continue the partnership felt like a natural choice to us.”

The Polish driver became the first to be announced by Trident, he has some extremely strong competition in 2023.

Mercedes Junior and Italian F4 champion Andrea Kimi Antonelli is stepping up to FRECA with PREMA alongside French F4 champion Alessandro Giusti with G4 Racing.

The 10-round calendar is also facing a slight reshuffle for 2023, the series won’t support the Monaco Grand Prix unlike previous years and they will visit Germany in Hockenheim for the first time.

Three pre-season tests will be held at Barcelona, Paul Ricard and Monza in March and April prior to the first round at Imola on the 22-23rd of April.
