Bring on the Podiums! Campos aims to keep their podium streak alive in Spain.
After Jack Aitken claimed two podiums at the 70th anniversary weekend and is expecting another strong weekend at their team’s home round. Campos finally had their hard work pay off with a podium in both races in round four.
Campos now head to Spain with the aim of another strong performance. Both Aitken and Guilherme Samaia will have the confidence that they can have another good weekend. Both drivers have experience around the Spanish circuit with Aitken getting a second-place last year.
Tyre wear and degradation will be in the minds of all the teams and drivers, especially with the race taking place so late in the year.
Adrián Campos, Team Principal of Campos, said: “We are back racing in Spain for our home Grand Prix and that is a nice feeling. Unfortunately, we will be there without our fans in the stands. Let’s see what the weekend bring us. Fortunately, the Spanish Grand Prix was declared of national interest, and people will be able to watch in on TV and have good fun. We are working to put everything in place, and our goal is that our drivers be able to shine throughout the weekend.”
Jack Aitken will be looking for “Ctrl+V” on his steering wheel to Copy & Paste last weekend into the Spanish Sun; “After my home race in Silverstone, I am very excited to go to Spain for Campos’ home race! Hopefully, we can keep the good momentum we had from the last round and convert that into fighting for pole and the win this weekend. It’s a track that I’ve always enjoyed, so I’m looking forward to getting started.”
Despite the short gap between races, Campos is ready for the next round of the Formula 2 championship.
