British F4 has announced it’s provisional 2023 calendar with 30 races across 10 events on the esteemed British Touring Car Championship support package.
The campaign will kick off once again at Donington Park’s National layout on 22-23 April before moving to the ultra-short 1.2 mile Brands Hatch Indy circuit at the beginning of May.
Snetterton’s 300 configuration hosts Round 3 of the championship before Hampshire’s blindingly fast Thruxton welcomes Britain’s FIA Formula 4 series on the 3-4 of June.
Hugh Chambers, CEO of Motorsport UK said: “The ROKiT F4 British Championship is the start of a young drivers career on the FIA single-seater pathway.
“It’s important that they are able to showcase their skillsets on a grand stage and we’re delighted to continue for the 2023 season on the TOCA package.
The championship rolls on throughout the summer with trips up north to Oulton Park’ Island track on the 17-18 June ahead of Croft in North Yorkshire on the 29-30 July.
The series will continue it’s annual summer trip to Scotland at Knockhill on the 12-13 August, prior to a new addition to the calendar in the Donington Grand Prix circuit.
British F4’s second trip to Donington will include the Melbourne hairpin and Goddards on the circuit once used by Formula 1.
Chambers praised the TOCA teams work with the new schedule and is particularly looking forward to British F4 racing at the Donington Grand Prix circuit: “Alan and his team at TOCA do a superb job in putting the calendar together, and it’s very exciting to see the package return to the GP loop at Donington Park after two decades away.
“We look forward to another prosperous season for the championship in 2023 and beyond.”
The campaign is continues with by a trip to the home of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone with the series racing on the National circuit on the 23-24 September.
Brands Hatch will play host to the finale of the F4 British Championship on the 7-8 October on the High speed Grand Prix circuit
Chambers is positive that the early arrival of the provisional calendar with help British F4 going forward: “Being in a position to confirm our calendar this far in advance has a lot of positive knock-on effects for our teams and prospective drivers, in terms of planning ahead, and I’m confident we will continue to go from strength to strength in the months ahead.”
