Juan Manuel Correa congratulated Invicta on Instagram today after the watch company announced they were a long-term title sponsor for Virtuosi Racing on February 25th. From the 2023 season, the team have become Invicta Virtuosi Racing, signing a long-term deal to be a prominent name in Formula 2.
Whilst watch companies are a common sponsor in motorsports, particularly in Formula 1 like Richard Mille, Invicta is the first consumer company to become a title sponsor in Formula 2.
The well-known watch company is already a personal sponsor for Correa, having worked on the JM Collection which is coming soon to the site.
As Brand Ambassador for 2023, Correa posted on his Instagram story earlier today: ‘Very proud of my partner for their new involvement in Formula 2’.
The team has revealed that ‘Invicta will be creating a spectacular limited edition collection of watches to celebrate the partnership’. They have already partnered long-term with DC Comics, Disney, Marvel and NFL.
Despite being confident in Correa since his F2 return, Invicta wanted to take the next step from a driver sponsor up to a title team sponsor, increasing their visibility in motorsports and being the first to take a large step forward in Formula 2 sponsorships and brands.
In collaboration, the two companies hope to work harder on marketing and raise visibility to allow intense growth over the coming years.
Current drivers Jack Doohan and Amaury Cordeel hope to feature on the podium this season with Invicta Virtuosi Racing newly presented on their cars, race suits and team gear.
