The first half of the Formula 2 season concludes this weekend at Silverstone as Jehan Daruvala hopes to have a good weekend.
Last time out in Baku saw Daruvala, who races for Carlin, have a good weekend, as he came away with a good haul of points.
The Red Bull Junior took a podium in the second Sprint Race and narrowly missed out on the podium in the first, claiming more points in the Feature Race to show his strong pace.
Daruvala sits seventh in the drivers’ standings with 53 points after the first three rounds and will want his good form to continue in Silverstone this weekend.
The Carlin driver needs to find a little bit extra to get himself on the top step of the podium for the first time this year.
The Indian driver said: “It’s been quite a while since we drove in Baku, so I’m quite excited to get back in the car.”
“Also, Silverstone is one of my favourite tracks, I’m really looking forwards to it, so hopefully we can have a good weekend and score big points.”
“Carlin is based in England, of course, and have done a lot of laps round Silverstone, so their cars are normally very good here. We’ve got to make sure we put a good clean weekend together.”
He added: “More than that, the goal will be to take a step forward after the good weekend in Baku, there we were, fast and consistent, and now we want to be on the podium, and of course, it would be good to win the Feature Race on Sunday.”
Daruvala will take to the track once again on Friday for the Practice and Qualifying sessions, followed by the three races on Saturday and Sunday.
