Red Bull Junior and Mumbai Falcons driver, Jehan Daruvala revived his title hopes with Race 9 victory
Currently, the championship lead is held by Pierre-Louis Chovet following the latest race sessions at the Yas Marina circuit, UAE.
FIA Formula 2’s Guanyu Zhou kept up his good form with a solid haul of points, he and his Prema team stay up in title contention.
During Race 7, Chovet took the lead from pole-sitter Daruvala, and never looked back. The race settled into a rhythm and Daruvala had to settle for second, with Zhou claiming the first of his three Round 3 podiums in third.
Race 8 saw another dominant performance from Chovet. He controlled proceedings from his pole position to take his fourth series win, followed over the line by the “Abu Dhabi Racing” team by Prema teammates Zhou and Dino Beganovic. The Ferrari Driver Academy youngster, Beganovic claimed his fifth win in the process.
In the final session, Race 9, we saw another pole converted into the top step from Daruvala. His FIA Formula 2 counterpart Zhou once again finishing in second. Third place went to 16-year-old French rookie Isack Hadjar.
