Dino Beganovic enters his first full season in Formula 2 with high expectations, as his Ferrari representatives have made it clear that he “has to be a championship contender” in 2025. The Swedish driver steps up with Hitech Pulse-Eight, a team seen as the ideal environment for him to make a serious title challenge.
Speaking with his team and Dino at Barcelona pre-season testing, “I feel quite good with the preparations, which is always a positive. My aim is to maintain the confidence while building on it as the season goes on. There are still areas where I can improve and work on things with the team and car.”
After a strong junior career, including a Formula Regional European Championship (FRECA) title in 2022 and a competitive Formula 3 campaign last season, Beganovic now finds himself in the final proving ground before Formula 1. His Ferrari Driver Academy backing brings added pressure, but also a clear path towards the top if he can deliver results.
Speaking on his prospects, a Ferrari representative at testing emphasised that the target is clear: Beganovic “must be in the title fight”. Hitech’s strong performances in 2024 have reinforced confidence that they are the right team to help him achieve this, with proven race-winning pace and a car capable of challenging at the front.
For Beganovic, the key will be adapting quickly to the greater demands of F2 machinery. While he impressed with a smooth transition from karting to single-seaters, the step up to Formula 2 is a significant challenge, requiring a strong grasp of tyre management, race strategy, and consistency across the season.
Hitech’s typically competitive package gives him the tools to succeed, but it will be up to Beganovic to prove he can match the expectations placed upon him. With Ferrari watching closely, this season could be make-or-break for his long-term ambitions.
All eyes will be on the Swede to see if he can hit the ground running. If he does, there’s every reason to believe he could be fighting at the sharp end of the championship.
