After joining the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy in 2020, Dino Beganovic has represented the team throughout his descent to the top step of single-seater racing. Having already made his F1 debut during the first Bahrain Free Practice session with the team, Beganovic is ready to get back behind the wheel of the SF-25. 

The 21 year old will get behind the wheel of Charles Leclerc’s SF-25, aiming to provide the team with valuable data to help bring them to the top step of the podium again.

Now being the Academy’s most experienced driver, Beganovic is ready to prove he has what it takes to step up to Formula 1 and be the 12th Swedish F1 driver. His F1 Free Practice debut in Bahrain saw him finish 14th, ahead of full-time drivers Lance Stroll and Kimi Antonelli, and 1.25 seconds off 7-time World Champion and fellow Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton.

Committing to a full season in Formula 2 after an impressive debut last year, Beganovic drives alongside fellow F3-graduate Luke Browning.  He currently sits tenth in the standings, after a strong start to his maiden season.

An extremely narrow margin of just 0.003 seconds saw the Swede take his maiden Pole Position, after a late red flag saw the session come to a premature end.  Unfortunately not being able to convert his front-row start to a win, Beganovic still managed to take home P3 in the Feature Race – his maiden podium in the series.

Dino Beganovic claimed his first championship with Ferrari’s support in 2022, after beating ex-teammate and fellow Formula 2 driver Gabriele Mini to the title, with an impressive 58-point margin. He now aims to join the likes of Oscar Piastri, Gabriel Bortoleto and Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc in being rookie’s who won the Formula 2 championship.

An underwhelming start to the 75th season of the FIA Formula 1 Championship sees the team P3 in the constructors’ championship, with 3 Grand Prix podiums – all amassed by ex-Ferrari Junior Charles Leclerc.
