Hitech Pulse – Eight F2 and Ferrari Driver Academy member Dino Beganovic is set to take part in his first free practice session with Ferrari at the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix. 

A first taste of Formula 1 rubber for the Swedish driver as he takes over former Ferrari driver academy member Charles Leclerc’s car during FP1 at the Bahrain International Circuit on the 11th of April as part of the two sessions per driver this season that the F1 teams have run a rookie driver in compared to last seasons one session per driver. 

After finishing sixth in Formula 3 in 2024, picking up two wins and a further two podiums to conclude his two years in the championship. The Swede then joined DAMS Lucas Oil for the final two rounds of the 2024 Formula 2 season, replacing Juan Manuel Correa. 

Beganovic impressed many on debut with a fifth-place finish in the Qatar Feature Race before claiming a maiden Formula 2 podium in the Abu Dhabi sprint race. He made the move to Hitech Pulse-Eight to partner fellow Formula 3 graduate Luke Browning at the British-based team. 

It wasn’t the most ideal start to the season for many at the opening F2 round in Australia with interrupted sessions and a cancelled Feature Race but Beganovic would have hoped to come out with a few points on the board to kick off his season. The rookie could only manage a P14 finish in a chaotic Sprint Race. 

Beganovic joined the Ferrari driver academy in 2020, the same year he made his single seater debut in Italian F4. He claimed his first title as a Ferrari junior when he became the 2022 Formula Regional European champion. and is now the most experienced member of the academy.
