Rodin’s Alex Dunne kicked off his Silverstone weekend in the best way possible by topping the one and only Free Practice session on Friday morning.
The Irishman’s lap time of 1:42.065 was just 71-thousandths of a second fastest than Invicta’s Rafael Câmara , with DAMS’ Dino Beganovic just five-thousandths further back.

Championship leader Gabriele Minì was sixth, after a couple of off-track adventures, while Austria Feature Race winner, Nikola Tsolov was 11th.

Sebastian Montoya impressed in his PREMA with fourth fastest, while Polish driver Roman Bilinski, who was born in England, was fifth.
Home-favourites, John Bennett and Cian Shields were eighth and 21st respectively, with Paraguay’s Josh Durksen, ahead of the ART’s of Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak and Kush Maini, completing the top 10.
Hitech’s Colton Herta completed just five laps in the session as his car broke down, leaving the American without any representative running ahead of Qualifying on Friday afternoon.

The session, which was run on the hard compound Pirelli tyre, will provide some information for teams regarding setup and tyre behaviour for the weekend, although the cooler conditions are likely to be unrepresentative of the anticipated weather for both races this weekend.
Qualifying takes place on Friday afternoon at 14:55 BST, with Saturday’s 21 lap Sprint Race beginning at 13:45 BST, while Sunday’s Feature Race starts at 11:15 BST.
