18 year old Arvid Lindblad has been Red Bull Racings junior sensation for the past 5 years, joining there academy in 2021, and his debut race has finally rolled around the the Racing bull machinery for the 2026 F1 season, and he definitely isn’t one to miss.
Arvid’s first got a taste for motorsport when he received a motor-cross bike, before graduating to a kart at just 5 years old and continued to kart until 2021.
Throughout his karting career, Arvid rarely left the front of the pace and clinched several memorable championship titles. In 2020, at just 12 years old, he captured the WSK Super Master Series title in the OKJ category and the went onto clinch both the WSK Euro Series championship and the WSK Final Cup in the OK category in 2021, both in the same year he joined the Red Bull Junior Academy.
After graduating karting in 2021, Lindblad signed with Van Amersfoort Racing in the 5th round of the season after conducting intense training at the beginning of the season yet still managed to finish the season sitting happily at 17th with twelve points, and a best finish of 7th.
The following year, Arvid competed in both the UAE and Italian Formula Four championships. He signed with Hitech GP for his UAE campaign and grabbed his maiden F4 win of the Dubai season opener before an unfortunate dip in form for the middle of the season yet finished on a high with a podium at the Yas Marina circuit and still managed to finish the series 5th in the championship standings.
His main 2023 programme though was arguably his Italian F4 drive. Lindblad started off the season strong with a win in Imola and 2 more podiums before he took the victory at all three races at Monza, which ultimately lead him to have a 80 point lead in the championship overall. However, a late season slump left him with no podiums in the final three rounds of the season, leaving him finishing the championship third overall.
Lindblad also raced in selected Euro 4 events. He started off this campaign strong by taking pole position at Mugello and manged to finish the race in 4th position. His only Euro 4 victory came at Monza however he also took another podium at Barcelona and managed to finish that season 4th overall.
In November, Arvid raced the Macau GP in the Formula Four South East Asia Championship with Prema Racing. Over the weekend, Lindblad managed to not only secure pole position, but also dominate the qualification race and went onto clinch top step of the podium in the main race.
This show stopping season arguably earned him a position as a finalist for the Aston Martin Autosport BRDC award, with history repeating itself in 2023 when he was yet again a finalist for this award.
Lindblad’s 2023 campaign began in the opening three rounds in the Formula Regional Middle East championship with the Mumbai Falcons. He managed to win a reverse grid race at the Yas Marina circuit and ended the championship 13th overall before turning his attention to FIA Formula Three.
Arvid signed with Prema racing late in 2023 before debuting in their F3 car for the 2024 season. He managed to win the opening sprint race with a five second lead and went onto score points in the feature race also. In Melborne, Lindblad finished second in the sprint race yet tyre struggles meant he missed out on a podium position the feature, yet still managed to score points. The Monaco round bought Arvid’s first retirement of the season with a pile up in the first corner in the sprint race unfortunately bringing his sprint race to a premature finish, which arguably fuelled his passion and desire as he then went to score his best finish of the season yet in the feature race, 4th.
Whilst Barcelona bought him his first with of the season, and the youngest person to win an F3 race, his stand out performance was Silverstone, his home race. Lindblad dominated the sprint race to claim his second win of the season and in the feature race, gambled on slicks on a drying track which ultimately lead him to inherit his feature race win after Callum Voisin’s penalty. Arvid was the first driver to ever manage the feat of winning both races on an F3 weekend. With three rounds to go, Arvid sat comfortably in 2nd position in the championship standings. Unfortunately, Lindblad’s last three races of the season were plagued with disappointment, with him unable to complete two feature races. Despite this, Arvid still managed to finish the season in fourth overall and as the highest scoring rookie. Prema also clinched their third consecutive title win.
Arvid then briefly raced in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship, yet again claiming several wins and podiums before confirming his 2024 set-up with Campos Racing for the upcoming 2025 season. At just 17 years old and 254 days, he stole the sprint race win in Jeddah, making him the youngest F2 winner ever. Later on in the season in Barcelona, Lindblad broke a second record in being the second youngest driver to take pole position and convert it into a home race win for Campos Racing.
Following a special exemption to get his super license at only 17 years old, Lindblad completed his first public test in the AT04, after two private tests earlier in the year, and debuted at Silverstone where he finished 14th in FP1 with Red Bull Racing. He then appeared again in place of Max Verstappen in Mexico City and finishing an impressive 6th in the season.
Early December of 2025, Racing Bulls announced Arvid Lindblad would join their team for the 2026 campaign, partnering with Lawson and debuting this weekend at Melbourne street circuit.
