Campos Racing won both FIA Formula 2 races in Monaco with Noel Léon victorious in the Sprint Race before Nikola Tsolov took the chequered flag in Sunday’s Feature Race.
It was a weekend of ups and downs for several drivers, so who were the winners and losers in Monte Carlo?
Winner: Nikola Tsolov
Tsolov needed this weekend after a run of three races without points in Miami and Canada.
The Bulgarian hasn’t shown any lack of pace and his cries of “redemption!” on the team radio after crossing the line on Sunday show he feels he perhaps should be in control of the championship after four rounds.
The Red Bull Junior will hope this provides a platform for more heavy points scores as the European season gets into full swing.

Loser: Rafael Câmara
It’s hard to feel anything other than sympathy for the Brazilian, who had done everything right up until his pit stop on Sunday. But it all came undone as he desperately tried to build tyre temperature, something all the drivers had been challenged with.
Under pressure from Tsolov at the start of Lap 35, he locked his brakes and went straight on at the first corner, eventually retiring.
It’s even more disappointing for the F3 Champion after he delivered a spectacular lap to take pole position for the Feature Race on Friday in Qualifying. He’d damaged his Invicta car and had to thank the fast repair work of his mechanics for getting him back out on track to secure pole.
The speed is there, but he and Invicta need a clean weekend to really put themselves in the title fight.
Winner: Alex Dunne
Another second place in a Feature Race for Dunne, who has finished on the podium every time he’s finished in the points this season.
The Irishman is building momentum after a scrappy start to the season and says he’s focussed on scoring as many points as possible over each weekend, rather than going all-out for pole and Feature Race victory.

This weekend showed that in full display, as he ensured a top-three start on Friday, before executing a clean Feature Race, capitalising on Câmara’s demise and collecting another 18-points.
More weekends like this will see his title challenge remain alive much deeper into the season than in 2025.
Loser: Gabrielle Mini
After his Sprint Race podium on Saturday, Mini said it was vital to make sure he and MP made the most of their package each weekend. He was running fifth before his pit stop, which was the first of the top 10.
But it was slow and cost him positions to early stoppers Emerson Fittipaldi and Sebastian Montoya. It also allowed others who were on track behind him to sneak ahead and force him out of the points, even with Câmara’s retirement.
It ends his run of points in all races in 2026, but he and MP will feel they have built a solid platform to challenge from this season.
He still leads the championship, but a handful of points got away in Monaco on Sunday and that could be crucial later in the year.
Winner: Dino Beganovic
The Swedish driver has been unfortunate at times this season. His speed has been on full display, and he could have won both of the opening two Feature Races, but technical issues have seen a lot of points escape him and the DAMS team so far.
He was very pleased to finish third in Monaco after producing a neat and tidy weekend, although he was left frustrated with Qualifying on Friday.
However, he made gains on Sunday to take the final step on the podium and move to within 20-points of Mini at the top of the table.

Loser: Laurens Van Hoepen
The Dutchman will have been hoping to right the wrongs of Canada, after crashing out of the lead in Montreal.
But this weekend was a total disaster for Van Hoepen and the Trident team. Both cars were forced to start at the back after being involved in red flag incidents in their Qualifying group. Van Hoepen was hit by Kush Maini in the ART, causing him to spin. But the Dutchman’s gentle attempt at getting going again led to him getting stuck on a kerb, meaning he was out of the session.
A time penalty in the Sprint Race followed, after he cut Turn 1 to gain positions, and his Feature Race was no better, as he was left stuck at the back.
Overall, a frustrating weekend for the Trident driver, but the speed is still there and he will head to Barcelona determined to get back to the front.
