Despite a break of eight weeks between Bahrain and Monaco for the Formula 2 drivers, many of them have been keeping themselves busy! Before Monaco, which will start on the 20th of May, the cars will be on track for testing in Barcelona this weekend.
Prema
Robert Shwartzman has been very busy as a Ferrari Driver Academy member. Along with other members of the academy, Shwartzman was lucky enough to be able to test the 2018 Ferrari in Fiorano!
His teammate, Oscar Piastri hasn’t posted much about what he has been up to. However, everyday is a school day, he did learn how to open a car bonnet! Although we’re sure he did much more than this, but some drivers enjoy their privacy.
UNI Virtuosi
Guanyu Zhou is another driver who has struggled to keep away from racing during the short break. Our current championship leader shared a picture of some colourful simulators, along with a display of his trophies.
Carlin
Dan Ticktum has been posting about his gaming through his Twitter stories. Not only does the Carlin driver enjoy racing, but he also enjoys playing Call of Duty. Tictktum even has his K.D on the back of his racing helmet this year!
Jehan Daruvala was seen on Vips’ Instagram story trying to beat Zhou’s reaction time high score. Daruvala reposted it to his own story and captioned it, ‘anything to win’. It’s great to see their competitive spirit even while we’re not currently racing!
Hitech
Liam Lawson has been getting to know some of his fans through Twitch TV, a live-streaming platform. He’s been doing many ‘Just Chatting’ streams as well as a cooking stream earlier last week.
Jüri Vips hasn’t posted much but he shared a story on Friday with Daruvala. He was training with his fellow Red Bull academy member!
ART
Christian Lundgaard has been posting many pictures of his training throughout the short break. Luckily for him, he did get time to relax, as he shared a post of himself working by a pool. What an office!
Théo Pourchaire is another driver who has been spending time on the simulator from home. Thankfully, we can see actual Formula 2 cars back on track this weekend for testing!
MP Motorsport
Lirim Zendeli is another driver who has taken up twitch recently. As well as a few ‘Just Chatting’ streams, Zendeli has also been playing some F1 2020!
Richard Verschoor has been helping F4 driver, Miron Pingasov during their testing in Portimão.
DAMS
Marcus Armstrong joined Shwartzman at Fiorano. He tested the 2018 earlier this month and put in an impressive 200+ kilometres!
Campos
Gianluca Petecof posted an interesting article about his racing earlier last week. In the interview, he spoke about three key moments in his career so far, this included his first national title, the tragedy of Spa 2019 and winning the Formula Regional Championship last year.

Matteo Nannini is also competing in F3 this year so over the Formula 2 break, he took part in the Formula 3 test in Barcelona, also with HWA!
Alessio Deledda has been posting on Instagram, pictures of himself relaxing by a pool. It looks very nice wherever he is!
Trident
Marino Sato reflected about a race he had at Imola in Italian F4. This was his first win in a single seater, back in 2016!
Bent Viscaal posted an Instagram story of his racing helmets and hinted to a new one for the next race he competes in. Exciting!
It isn’t long until testing and then Monaco, and if it is anything like the three races we had in Bahrain, we have a lot to look forward to!
