Formula 2 testing lineup and schedule

Formula 2’s end of season test schedule has been confirmed along with the eleven team lineups for the three days of testing.

The opening two days of testing will have sessions beginning at 9 am and 2 pm local time and will be three hours long with the final day of testing beginning at 9 am before a final three-hour session in the afternoon beginning at 1 and finishing at 4 pm.

Pirelli’s hard tires will be used throughout the three days with each car getting eight sets to use throughout.

The test will also be the first chance for teams to showcase their 2021 lineup as well as test drivers for a seat in one of their cars.

Outgoing champions DAMS will test Williams junior Roy Nissany and Marcus Armstrong for all three days whilst Virtuosi will run new signing Felipe Drugovich for all three days with Guanyu Zhou partaking in the first two days of running before Clement Novalak takes over for the final day.

ART Grand Prix will run Formula 3 runner up Theo Pourchaire and Christian Lundgaard with Carlin fielding Jehan Daruvala and Dan Ticktum for all three days.

Campos Racing has Ralph Boschung and hotly rated American Logan Sargeant with Callum Ilott returning to Charouz for the first day of testing before handing the number eleven car to David Beckmann who will drive in the first day of testing before handing over to Brazilian Guilherme Samaia for the next two days.

Louis Deletraz will test for MP Motorsport alongside Lirim Zendeli with Roberto Merhi making a return to the Formula 2 paddock with HWA Racelab alongside Matteo Nannini nephew of Benetton star Alessandro Nannini.

2020 champions Prema will run Formula 3 champion Oscar Piastri and Robert Shwartzman for all three days of testing with Trident running Novalak for the first couple of days with Bent Viscaal getting a run out on the last day of testing.

Hitech Grand Prix will run two hotly rated Red Bull juniors Jüri Vips who starred at DAMS in his brief cameo replacing Sean Gelael and Liam Lawson.
