Callum Voisin says “I can’t really put it into words” after winning the GB3 championship at Donington Park.

The Rodin Carlin driver finished 12th in the final reverse grid race of the season, enough to beat his nearest rival Alex Dunne to the title.

Voisin said: “Amazing weekend. A first, a second, and 10 places up in the reverse grid to end this champion and end on a high is amazing. I’m over the moon.”

The British driver won just two races this season and was highly consistent over the campaign.

Voisin admitted that keeping the bad days to a minimum was an area to focus on after the 2022 campaign.

“It was something that I needed to work on from last year and I think we did that. We did exactly that. I think minimizing the bad days, which was exactly what we did.

“A championship is usually won on your bad days, and thankfully, our bad days were not bad at all. Very happy, loads of podiums, plenty of trophies.”

The newly crowned GB3 champion is currently participating in FIA F3 post-season testing at Imola for Rodin Carlin.

“let’s see. Obviously, I’ve got the test tomorrow and on Tuesday, so let’s see how that goes. But for sure, this has only done… It’s only a confidence booster for sure.”

Allex Dunne took victory earlier in the day in Race 2 and delved into keeping positive amongsts setbacks.

“You can’t really let them get you down. Not every race is going to go the way you want it to. I knew coming into this year that it wasn’t going to be easy.

“I said to myself at the start of the year that it wasn’t going to be the same as what I had in British F4. I think the grid has been a lot closer throughout this year.

“I just had to stay calm and try and pick up the points when I could. Then when the pace was there, then I maximised on that as well.”

Dunne is participating in the FIA F3 post-season test at Imola alongside his title rival Voisin, driving for Hitech. is your home for Formula 2
