Sean Gelael has announced that 2020 will be his last season of Formula 2 as he looks for opportunities elsewhere in Motorsport.
The Indonesian who made one hundred and ten starts in Formula 2 and GP2 combined announced that Sakhir will be his final weekend in the series.

In his five and a half years in the series, Gelael scored two podiums with his first coming at the Red Bull ring in 2016 before adding to that with a podium in the Feature race at Monte Carlo in 2018 behind Artem Markelov.
Gelael’s last season in Formula 2 was a turbulent one as the Indonesian suffered a vertebra fracture in the Feature race at Catalunya which saw him miss four rounds of the season.
Gelael’s departure from the series means that DAMS will have a fresh driver line up for 2021 with Dan Ticktum also indicating that he will be leaving the team at the end of the season.
It is unknown which series that Gelael will drive in next.
