Meet Nerea Marti, the aspiring young driver from Valencia.
After being exposed to karting from a young age, her family decided to open a karting track when she was nine, and ever since, she decided that she would become a racing driver one day.
Following her passion in becoming a racing driver, she decided to make her debut in the Karting Horta Nord competition in 2015. Marti became the first female driver to claim the title in the Campeonato de Karting de la Comunidad de Valencia.
The success continued when she signed for Praga España Motorsport in 2017 as Marti became the first woman to win the regional championship Campeonato de Karting de la Comunidad Valenciana in the junior and senior category in the following year.
Later in 2019, the Spanish driver renewed her contract with Praga España Motorsport, to join F4 in the Spanish Championship and managed to finish in first position in five races and ended up being the second female classified without any previous experience.
Setting up the deal with W Series at the end of 2019, Marti admitted that it was the biggest highlight of her career as she pulled out a strong performance last year in fourth from the championship standings.
The 18-year-old driver claimed her maiden podium last season in Hungary as she continued to stay in the championship to achieve more things in her third season, which will begin in May.
