Daniel Guinchard will return to British F4 with Chris Dittmann Racing this season.
The British driver finished ninth in his rookie year last season and took a victory in Race 2 at Oulton Park.
Guinchard admitted his first year in British F4 failed to live up to his expectations but the Chris Dittmann Racing driver’s previous races in the car last year will help him in 2023.
He said: “My first season in the F4 British Championship was a bit underwhelming for a lot of different reasons.
“Last season there was a driver who moved from another team to Chris Dittmann Racing in GB3 and did well, so that gave us an idea of where we wanted to be.
“We saw the atmosphere in the team was really happy and upbeat and I feel at home already.
“I think my previous experience in the F4 car will be an advantage to an extent, but then you’ll also have the new drivers that will come into the championship all guns blazing.
“We have to watch out for them, but my time in the car last year will certainly help us.
“We definitely have a good shot of winning this year, but we’re focusing on having a good start to the season and we’ll go from there.”
The Team Owner Chris Dittmann is delighted to welcome Guinchard to the team and is positive ahead of the round one at Donington Park in April.
“We’re really happy to welcome Daniel to the team for his second year in the championship.
“Last year he put in some impressive performances, and we want to give him the right environment to be able to unlock his full potential this season.
“We’re optimistic about what we can achieve together and are working hard to hit the ground running at Donington Park next month.”
