Invicta Aiming For Silverstone Podiums

After Invicta Racing picked up their first FIA Formula 2 win of the season in Austria, the Norfolk-based team is aiming for more at Silverstone this weekend.

Brazilian driver Gabriel Bortoleto secured victory in the Feature Race at the Spielberg circuit, the team’s first win since the 2023 Abu Dhabi Feature Race, won by Australian Jack Doohan.

Team boss Andy Roche says the McLaren junior has a great chance to build on the performance in Austria.

He said: “Gabriel has an opportunity to carry momentum from his win in Austria and Kush will be looking to replicate his previous podium results at this circuit.”

Indian driver Maini has visited the podium three times this season, achieving second place on two occasions.

In addition to his win last time out, Bortoleto has also finished second twice.

Roche said the team are looking forward to their home race.

He said: “This is a special race for Invicta Racing in many ways.

“The team are all really excited to compete at our home event and at such a special track too. It’s also a big event for the drivers.”
