The two-time W Series Champion Jamie Chadwick decided to defend her title with Jenner Racing this year.
Following a successful campaign over the last two years with two titles, Chadwick plans to add another title under her name with the all-new racing team owned and run by the American media personality Caitlyn Jenner.
Despite the criticism of her return to the series, she remains grateful for the opportunity to stay in the W Series while trying to make her next move in joining a higher level of the championship.
She said, “To be asked to return by Jenner Racing was an opportunity I didn’t think twice about. Together, we are focused on doing all we can to win title number three.”Â
“I have spoken to Caitlyn Jenner, and her vision for the team is amazing. I have zero doubt that she will be able to help take my career to the next level and open doors for me internationally.”
The British driver has been very open about her plans to step up in the feeder series ladder as she aims to enter the FIA Formula 3 championship, but with the limited budget, Chadwick has to look forward to more support that could help her funds.
The 23-year-old driver’s plan had slightly changed, and she hopes to maximize the opportunity to prove herself in the series as she believes that it could be the stairway of her journey of becoming an F1 driver.
“This is a big development year for me. I have plans to run a supporting racing program, and I have made no secret of my desire to compete in F3 and F2.”
“But timing is everything, and the opportunity that W Series gives me to get more competitive experience at world-class circuits is a key step on my journey towards competing in F1.”
With the 2022 season starting in May, Jamie Chadwick is set to drive in Jenner’s outfit with its mission of going straight up for the gold around the new arena of the Hard Rock Stadium, supporting the inaugural Formula One Miami Grand Prix.
“I would like to thank W Series for their continued support, and I am looking forward to kicking off season three in Miami.”
