Kush Maini Joins DAMS Lucas Oil for 2025 FIA Formula 2 Season

DAMS Lucas Oil has announced that Kush Maini will join its driver line-up for the 2025 FIA Formula 2 Championship, partnering Jak Crawford for the French team. The Indian driver, a member of the Alpine Academy, brings two years of Formula 2 experience to the team, along with an impressive résumé across various junior categories.

A Strong Addition to DAMS Lucas Oil

Maini’s F2 career so far has included a victory and five podiums, showcasing his ability to compete at the sharp end of the grid. In 2024, he finished 13th in the Drivers’ Championship, consistently demonstrating speed and determination throughout a competitive season. DAMS Lucas Oil is confident that Maini’s proven track record and race craft will help the team fight for championship honours in 2025.

Maini expressed his excitement about joining a team with such a rich history in the sport:

A Promising Junior Career

The 24-year-old has showcased his talent across multiple series. Maini’s junior career highlights include becoming Vice-Champion in British Formula 3 in 2020, podium finishes in FIA Formula 3, and success in the F3 Asian Championship. He has also competed in Formula Renault Eurocup and the World Endurance Championship, bringing a wealth of versatility and experience to his new team.

Maini and Crawford will participate in the post-season test in Abu Dhabi this week, providing an early opportunity to build on their collaboration ahead of the 2025 season opener in Melbourne from March 14-16.
