Invicta Racing’s Leonardo Fornaroli takes pole with a 1.15.229 after a dominant qualifying session. ART’s Victor Martin taking P2 just 0.014 behind, with MP motorsport’s Richard Verschoor taking P3 +0.024.
The strategy for this session was out for two warm up laps followed by two push laps with a few drivers going for a third push lap. the second part was similar to the first with two warm up two push. With Luke Browning being the first driver to set a lap time of a 1.16.111.
A few drivers saw themselves going wide at the final corner such as Arvid Lindblad, Max Esterson and Richard Verschoor. As well as a couple of drivers getting track limits such as Alexander Dunne, Richard Verschoor and Jack Crawford.
With just 21 points separating the top 6, a few of these drivers were placed out of order with the likes of Arvid Lindblad seeing himself down in 12th, Jak Crawford down in 15th and Luke Browning going to P17.
Van Amersfoort racing’s  John Bennet will see revere pole position in the sprint after finishing P10 and will be joined on the front row with Campos racing’s Josep Maria Marti who took ninth.
With Prema’s Gabriele Mini taking fourth, Amaury Cordeel taking fifth for Rodin motorsport who had championship leader Alexander Dunne taking seventh. Seeing Invite’s Roman Stanek separating the two. Finally AIX’s Joshua Durksen taking eighth.
As Arvid Lindblad was the last driver to cross the line putting up a fight until the end the grid was set and final. But not after an issue with a possible blocking on Jak Crawford. Crawford who is currently being investigated for an unsafe release.
Lights out for the sprint tomorrow will be at 14:15 local time and 13:15 BST. Â And for the race on Sunday it will be 10:00 local time and 09:00 BST.
