W Series returns this weekend back to back with France in Hungary. We caught up with Nerea Martí to discuss last weekend and her thoughts ahead of Hungary.
Thanks for your time as always, you said in your post race interview that you were a little disappointed to miss out on second because of the start. On reflection how will you take that disappointment or learning into this weekend?
Yes, my start in was really bad, I was not comfortable with the clutch as well so I will change for this weekend and try it in the practice starts. Let’s see!
You picked up some big points for the Championship and had some great battles, overall are you pleased with how the weekend went?
I’m happy but as always I wanted more, I had the pace and the speed during the week, however, yes, really good points for the championship and let’s keep pushing this weekend to take as much as possible.
Hungary is this weekend, does having races back to back help. Do you think that gives you a good chance to build on the momentum from Paul Ricard?
Yes definitely, I hope so, last year was my first podium in W-Series, so I have confidence for the weekend.
What are the features of the circuit in Hungary and what are the things you need to prepare for most?
It is a circuit with few straights and is very technical, I worked a lot on the sim to prepare for the weekend. I’m feeling ready for it!
In terms of the race format, Do you prefer to have two races on a weekend?
Always more racing!! Two would be better!
As always a pleasure to speak to Nerea, and all of us at insideF2 wish her the best for this weekend in Hungary!
