Nerea Marti continues her second season in the W Series alongside compatriot Belen Garcia as she joins the global brokerage team Quantfury.
The Spanish driver consistently finished inside the top eight in all races of the 2021 season as she scored a maiden podium in Hungary.
Following a successful campaign in finishing fourth in the championship standings last year as the best rookie, Marti feels confident about reaching out for victories.
This year, Marti looks forward to her rapid progress in the series whilst promoting Quantfury’s mission to provide cost-efficient, fair and transparent trading platforms.
She said: “I’m very happy and proud to be driving for the Quantfury W Series Team in 2022. I know that Belén and I will form a really good team, and I’m looking forward to working together and achieving our goals.”
“I’m very proud of how well I did in my first season with W Series last year. It was all new for me, but I worked hard, adapted as the season went on and got stronger, ending the season fourth in the championship and as the best rookie.”
Reflecting on her preparations back in her hometown after a successful pre-season test in Barcelona, Marti remains optimistic about the season ahead without putting any pressure on herself to achieve the primary goal.
With the series starting in May, she looks to continue her journey on the long road to Formula One in W Series’ third on-track season, which consists of eight exciting weekends with five new venues.
She stated, “Going into this season, I feel more prepared in all aspects, but I want to remain calm and not put too much pressure on myself. I want to win, but I will just give my best in every race, and if I do that, I’m confident the strong results will come.”
“I’ve been training twice a day in a high-performance centre with other elite athletes, doing simulator work as well as physical and mental training.”
