W Series returns this weekend after a short break which meant we got the chance to have another catch-up with Nerea Martí.
She told us all about her thoughts and feelings about the previous round at Silverstone and previewed this weekend’s race at Le Castellet
Q: How are you feeling about the Silverstone weekend?
A: “It was a really difficult weekend, I didn’t find the feeling with the new tyres in quali but I had good pace in the race and I finished P9 in the points”.
Q: P15 to P9, are you happy with the result?
A: “Not with the result to be honest, I want more… but yeah it was a good recovery and I enjoyed overtaking”.
Q: How did the car feel today and was it a challenge with the track and tyre temperature?
A: “Yes, in the race we had really different temperatures, it even started to rain a little. But yeah it was really a challenge”.
Q: Le Castellet is up next, what are the challenges of the circuit and what previous experience do you have there?
A: “I was driving there in F4 in 2019, I like the track. It will be another weekend with another opportunity so we can push there”.
Q: How will you prepare for this round? Are you doing any racing in between?
A:”Not really, we have Paul Ricard in two weeks, so focus on physical and mental training”.
It was a pleasure to speak to Nerea again, and all of us at insideF2 wish her the best for this weekend in France!
