Ferrari Academy Driver Oliver Bearman will remain with PREMA Racing in FIA Formula 2 for the 2024 season.
It continues the British drivers’ association with the team, having also raced with the Italian team in FIA Formula 3 in 2022.
He joins Mercedes’ highly rated prospect, and new Formula Regional champion, Andrea Kimi Antonelli in what appears to be a driver pairing that could dominate the F2 grid in 2024.
His debut season also included an F2 first in Azerbaijan, where the then 17-year-old took maximum points from the weekend, by winning both the Sprint and Feature Race, both fastest lap points and pole position.
Bearman’s performances led to his Formula 1 debut, driving two FP1 sessions for the Haas F1 Team.
The teenager eventually finished sixth in the Drivers’ Standings with 130 points.

Bearman, from Chelmsford, said: “I’m really happy to be joining PREMA Racing again in Formula 2.
“I’ve come a long way as a driver and as a person these two years thanks to them, and I’m excited to continue the work we have been doing into next season.”
PREMA Team Principal Rene Rosin said it was great to have the 18-year-old back for another season.
“The way he adapted, improved, and developed is outstanding, and we cannot wait to see what this progress will take us further down the road.
“We also think that the experience he had this year will help him and the team in adapting to the new car. It’s definitely going to be an interesting and promising experience.”
