Lining up for a second season in Formula 2, Russian and Ferrari Academy Driver, Robert Shwartzman takes up prime position in the PREMA team.
FIA Formula 3 Champion Oscar Piastri, will partner Shwartzman to take his first steps into Formula 2, supported by the Alpine Academy.
The 19-year-old Australian, underwent a thorough programme in March’s F2 Testing to learn the ropes and variables of F2 racing ahead of his debut in the series.
“Our drivers are fast, smart and dependable. So we look forward to getting them going and seeing where we stand at the end of the day.” – Team Principal Rene Rosin indicated as the team prepares for Bahrain.

“Having three races per weekend is challenging in terms of managing the weekend and planning for the full season” admits Rosin.
And some fans may agree with the PREMA Team Principal, now that there are two sprint races in a Formula 2 race weekend.
But Rosin also believes that PREMA has, “worked hard and prepared” for the challenging new race weekend.

Shwartzman is a favourite to become the 2021 Formula 2 Champion this season.
Could teammate Piastri have the chance to follow in the footsteps of previous F2 Champions Charles Leclerc (2017) and George Russell (2018), by becoming a champion in his rookie F2 season at a strong PREMA team?
PREMA looks to use their team spirit powered by the Ferrari Driver Academy to their advantage and become Formula 2 Champions for a second consecutive time in 2021.
