Samaia looking forward as he and his Campos team target a solid haul of points this weekend at the Hungarian Grand Prix in Formula 2.
We continue our frenetic start to the 2020 season with the third round of back to back races at the Hungaroring, Budapest.
Most of the action will be focused on the first sector and if drivers do get side by side down the main straight we will all take our breath for some under and overtaking through turns 1 and 2.
All the teams, however, will be focused on Qualifying as grid position is crucial at such a difficult circuit for overtaking.
The Spanish Formula 2 teams Brazilian driver Samaia has had a fair opening start to the season as he looks to adapt and find his feet vs his experienced team mate.
“Expectations for this next weekend is to make another step forward and do as many miles as I can. My goal is continue my learning process with the new tires and the car. Hungaroring is a track in which I already competed once in 2018. It isn’t a super experience but it will help me definitely. I hope to do my best and develop the car as much as I can. It’s a technical track in which qualifying is crucial because overtaking is extremely tough. But we already know how tires work, so optimistically we will be able to make another step forward.”
Team Principal, Adrian Campos will also be looking to build on the teams 7 points in the Team’s Championship, “We expect to put all elements together in order to achieve the results we are aiming at this season.”
