After the final round of the 2021 FIA Formula 2 Championship, it was announced that Logan Sargeant would drive for Carlin in the 2022 season.
Sargeant had an incredibly strong campaign in Formula 3. In 2021, he helped Charouz to secure their best season so far, after finishing fifth in the teams’ standings and rewarded the team with a victory.
‘I can’t wait to re-join Carlin who have been so strong in F2 and to get to work on our 2022 programme.’
Team Principal, Trevor Carlin is regarded as one of the greatest in the paddock for scouting generational talent. He helped to take drivers such as Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris to Formula One.
Sargeant’s links with Williams are another string to his bow in his goal to reach Formula One. This week he will be in the FW43B during the young driver test at the Yas Marina Circuit.
‘We’re delighted to work with Logan who has always been a great talent. Having worked with him in F4 and F3, it’s great to now be able to complete that ladder in the FIA Formula 2 Championship. Over the years we’ve seen him grow and mature as a driver and without a doubt he’s ready for a strong campaign in F2.’
He will be completing this year’s postseason test in the Carlin, which insidef2 will be covering throughout everyday at the end of this week!
