Sato Hopes for Good Start To Exploit Car’s Pace for Sunday

Qualifying in Monza can be incredibly difficult when drivers are trying to exploit the slipstreams from other drivers. If someone gets caught up in traffic, the lap times become less effective. One of the drivers who was caught out was UNI-Virtuosi’s, Marino Sato

Lining up P15 for Sunday’s Feature Race, Marino gave his thoughts on how the traffic affected his session. The Japanese driver commented that he was caught off guard by the traffic during his first run. He added, “The second run, I think it’s going quite well [upto], that I actually have to abort the lap due to the yellow in the last corner.

“We were only half a tenths off Jack. It depends on how I did the last corner but if we had the last good corner, it would have been a front-row lockout for the team.

“There’s not only me who got caught out,” Sato concluded.

As much as Marino wanted to get to the front, the pace of the UNI-Virtuosi car has been encouraging. This seems to have given him quite a lot of confidence.

“I think we have a good car; passing is possible here but it’s also not very easy. A good start will be important,” the UNI-Virtuosi driver said.

Can Marino Sato convert the pace to score points for Sunday? Only time will tell.
