The FIA and Formula 2 have announced that they will honour his memory this weekend using a logo specifically created using his initials, Formula 2 number, and iconic star from his race helmet.
Further to that the logo is said to appear on all Formula 2 and Formula 3 communications. The official FIA Formula 2 office commented this is “to celebrate Anthoine’s achievements and his unique character.”
Formula 1 as we saw last year will also unite with the junior categories in having the logo on the cars throughout the weekend, “showing that Anthoine will always be part of the racing family.”
Anthoine will also continue to be remember on track with the announcement from the FIA and Formula 2 that his number 19 will forever be retired in his honour.
A massive gesture and a poignant sign of respect for the French star.
The weekend will also conduct a minute silence ahead of the Feature Race on Saturday and this will be mirrored ahead of the Formula 1 Grand Prix on Sunday.
The FIA, Formula2 and the motorsport community want to continue his memory this weekend by using #AH19.
