Dan Ticktum has been disqualified from the Sprint Race at Monza for having too little fuel in his car at the end of the race.
Ticktum had originally taken victory in Italy before stopping on track. A statement from Race Control read: “After Race 2 it was not possible to take a fuel sample of 0.8kg from Car 2.
“Car 2 is to be disqualified from the results of Race 2. All cars in the classification to move up one place.”
The result means Callum Ilott moves up to take the race win, extending his championship lead further. Christian Lundgaard takes second, with Mick Schumacher recording his eighth podium of the season.
