Top Three Quotes from the Feature Race

Mick Schumacher took a stunning victory in Saturday’s Feature Race. The Ferrari junior controlled the race beautifully and extended his Championship lead.

Speaking after the race Schumacher said, “Yeah, I guess you know we can be quite happy with the P1 now we had the speed already in Qualifying to do a good job so I’m very happy that we managed to convert this into a race win. Definitely really congratulations to the team they’ve made a mega job to get the car out and to do it this well and in style. I think it was quite impressive so very much thank you to them and now I’m looking forward to the Podium.”

Second place was claimed by Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda, who picked up his fifth top three finish of 2020.

Speaking after the race Tsunoda said, “Yeah I think today Mick was perfect today, he drove better also on my side the pace was not great but I think I’m happy, quite happy to do the maximum job I can and very thanks to mechanics and engineers that sent me to rejoin the track perfectly.”

The Podium was rounded off by British driver Callum Ilott in third place who just edged out Luca Ghiotto on the last Lap.

Speaking after the race Ilott said, “I pushed like crazy to try and stay with Mick and just used too much of the rear tyre relative to the front and I thought it was going to hold but it really didn’t and then when Yuki got alongside me which was the clever thing for him to do because he saw me struggling with traction.

I got a bit on the dirt and then I lost everything in the tyre, then Luca was really close and I had to keep him behind and I just managed it grabbing first gear out of the last corner but pretty exhausted. I’ll drink a lot of water and then I’ll be back to it.”
