Costa Toparis has joined Rodin Carlin in GB3 and will complete the team’s three-car lineup.
The Australian driver will participate in his first full season of European racing as he partners Callum Voisin and John Bennett at Rodin Carlin.
Toparis is delighted to be racing in GB3, a series that travels to three Formula 1 venues in Spa-Francorchamps, Zandvoort and Silverstone.
The 15-year-old said: “I want to thank Rodin Cars for their continued support of my career and for giving me this incredible opportunity to race in the GB3 Championship.
“I appreciate the faith that they and the team have placed in me and know that together we can achieve great results.”
Toparis has already driven the GB3 car and explained he and Rodin Carlin made steps in the right direction.
“I have had the chance to test the car over the winter and have had time to get to know the team as well. It’s been a fantastic experience and we are making positive progress.
“I am eager for the season to commence as I have so much to learn as well as having the good fortune of competing against so many great future racing stars.”
Team Principal Trevor Carlin saw his team finish second in the 2022 Team’s championship.
The 59-year-old is eagerly anticipating having Toparis in his car and praised his superb attitude.
Carlin added: “Costa has already made a huge amount of progress since he first made the big step to leave Australia and test with us in the UK.
“He’s still very young, but he has a fantastic attitude and works incredibly hard to maximise every opportunity.
“Costa did a great job at the F4 Trophy Race in Abu Dhabi at the end of last season, which was the perfect taster for the close racing he’ll experience in the GB3 Championship.
“I look forward to seeing what he can achieve in the 2023 season with us.”
The GB3 season gets underway at Oulton Park on the 8-10 of April.
