Tough Day for Trident
In the Feature Race in Spain, Trident was hoping for points and a top ten finish, however for various reasons this didn’t happen, with Marino Sato finishing in 15th while Roy Nissany didn’t finish.
Nissany suffered contact with another car and then later the barriers and was unable to carry on with the race. The damage forced him to pull over in the pitlane.
Sato started 16th but lost some positions in the opening part of the race. The Japanese driver managed his tyres well to bounce back up the field into 15th.
Trident Team Manager, Giacomo Ricci, said: “Nissany showed an excellent race pace and we are satisfied with his performance. He delivered a remarkable Feature Race until contact with another car forced him to re-enter the pit lane. In the collision, the front wing was damaged and a tyre was punctured. Back on track, Nissany ended up against the barriers. As for Marino Sato, the Japanese lost some positions in the early stages of the race. Subsequently, he managed the thermal degradation well and recovered up to P15.”
Trident will hope their drivers can fight through the field tomorrow to get inside the top ten with at least one driver.
