TridentTrident boss Ricci: “Every mistake has a huge price” in Monaco

Trident boss, Giacomo Ricci says, “Monte Carlo is a challenging track with a unique charm, where every mistake has a huge price” ahead of the FIA F2 round at Monaco.

Trident sit 10th in the Constructors’ Championship after last weekend’s round at Imola was cancelled due to flooding in the surrounding area.

The Italian team suffered a lacklustre outing in Monaco last year failing to score a point in the Principality.

Trident looked competitive in the in-season test at Circuit De Barcelona-Catalunya with Frenchman Clément Novalak finishing 10th on Day 2.

“We worked with great determination in collective testing at Montmelò and in our factory, together with our drivers Clément Novalak and Roman Stanek, to prepare for this event and for the rest of the season.”

The Trident boss outlined the team’s goals for the event in Monaco and the importance of learning the track quickly.

Our goal this weekend is to get good chemistry with the track quickly and be responsive and determined in the most critical moments, such as qualifying and the strategy choice.

“We are very motivated: the technical staff and drivers will give their best to return from the Principality with a good result and improve our position.”
