Trident Take No Points in Feature Race
Trident was unable to get points in the Feature Race at Silverstone.
Roy Nissany had to put together a good comeback from 21st on the grid after mechanics had to replace the chassis on his car. The Israeli driver finished in 18th right behind team mate Marino Sato.
Sato’s car suffered in practice after a fire started from the engine, the mechanics worked hard to sort out the problem, and Sato was able to qualify 14th. The Japanese driver got too much wheelspin at the start and dropped down to 18th. Sato showed positive pace at times and finished the race in 17th.
Despite not scoring any points, Trident has positives to take away with both drivers able to show some convincing pace and will want a mistake-free race to help them try and gain positions with hopes of some points.
Giacomo Ricci, Trident Team Manager, said: “The team worked out all night to complete the chassis change on Nissany’s car, which suffered no problems in the Feature Race and had a pretty decent run. We are satisfied with the work done. As for Sato, unfortunately, the Japanese racer got too much wheelspin at the start and ended up stuck in traffic. We hope that tomorrow’s race will give us the opportunity to recover with a good strategy.”
Trident will hope the Sprint Race will give them more positives and their drivers more confidence and experience in hopes of the Italian based team claiming more points.
