After a tough weekend in France last time out, Trident head to the Hungaroring with the dream of more points this weekend in FIA Formula 2/Â
However, the Hungarian circuit is known to have fewer overtaking zones than some other circuits, so qualifying pace and tyre management will play a significant role in the two races, especially with high temperatures predicted for the weekend.
Richard Verschoor already has a win and two podiums this season and will want to fight back to the podium after an unfortunate retirement in the Feature Race in Le Castellet.
While his teammate, Calan Williams, wants to return to the points after having a lengthy absence.
Giacomo Ricci, Trident Team Manager, said: “Having two consecutive races gives us a chance to quickly recover from the difficult weekend we had at Paul Ricard, where nothing seemed to work in our favour, and we had several technical issues beyond our control.
“The team has been working very hard with the drivers these past few days to find a solution to last weekend’s challenges.
“Our goal in Budapest is to start with the right foot right from the qualifying session, as the ups and downs and layout of the Hungaroring give little room for overtaking.
“I am sure we have the potential to do well, we will give our 100 percent to head into the summer break coming from a fulfilling weekend in terms of performance and results.”
Trident will want Hungary to bring them more luck than France and claim more points and even a podium.
