Trident with no result at Monza
Trident suffered from another result that didn’t line up with their expectations at Monza, their home track.
Roy Nissany qualified in fifth, while Marino Sato started 13th.
Nissany started on the harder compound and held onto sixth for a long time. Unfortunately, the Israeli driver was given a 10 second time penalty for contact which caused Nissany to slip down the order.
Sato’s race was more uneventful. The Japanese driver didn’t seem to have the race pace and ended in 20th right behind his teammate.
Trident Team Manager, Giacomo Ricci, said: “It was a difficult race for our drivers. Nissany made contact with Mazepin taking a 10-second penalty which ruined his result. He had scored an excellent fifth place in the qualifying session, and we were hoping for a better result in our home race. Marino Sato, on the other hand, struggled to find the pace.”
Trident is hoping for more from tomorrow’s Sprint Race despite starting low down the field when they return to the track at 11:10am local time.
