Trident’s Ricci “Motivated for the season opener”

Trident – Season Preview Team & Drivers Trident - FIA Formula 2 News

The Italian FIA Formula 2 team Trident Motorsport are like others gearing up for both the F2 and F3 season launch in Spielberg, Austria.

The action will be taking place at the Red Bull Ring and with more television viewers expected than ever the support races could get a lot more attention than normal given the thirst for racing.

Team Trident are set to take on the Formula 2 season with driver dup Roy Nissany and Marino Sato. Nissany returns following a year away from the car so he will be eager more than most to get back in the fast seat. Sato will follow on from last seasons experience to continue his development. The circuit is one of the shortest of the year being only 4.3km but it has some really solid overtaking spots. Regulars to the Formula 2 Championship will be aware that the racing is full on and overtaking is never an issue for these drivers on the #RoadtoF1.

Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager has stated ““We are motivated for the season opener, which comes at the end of a long and unprecedented break. The team prepared well for the new health procedures and protocols that were introduced.”

It has been a huge length of time between the end and start of this season which had put a lot of strain at all levels of motorsport. Ricci commented “ It was essential to get started again, and we prepared Spielberg’s race as efficiently as ever.”

The Formula 2 outfit has now all it’s preparations set and they will be looking to do what they do best according to Ricci, “The team is ready to perform and help the drivers to grow up, and achieve the goals they have set. The first races of the season always offer many opportunities and surprises, we need to be ready should the right opportunity arise”.
