Richard Verschoor concluded his season and time with VAR  in Yas Marina at this weekend’s Feature Race.

The Dutch driver now confirmed to be heading back to Trident spoke post-race with InsideF2’s Michael McClure following his DNF despite showing good pace up until that point and well within the points.

“It was a big shame. We were as quick as Fred”

Richard was looking to get the strategy right to capitalise on the pace he and the team felt they had until Lap 23 when he had to come into the pits and end his race.”

“We were having a good race, and felt for sure a top five finish was there”

This was an unfortunate end to the season for both team and driver following on from some good performances that ultimately ended with Richard claiming 109 points to sit 9th in the Driver Championship and help Van Amersfoort secure 7th in the Team Standings.
