Richard Verschoor is to remain with MP Motorsport for Round 2 for the FOIA Formula 2 Championship in Monaco, after a successful run in Bahrain.
Super excited to be back on track in Monaco. So grateful to my loyal and new partners for making this happen. I pushed very hard in the last few weeks and I’m happy it paid off to get another step closer for the full season. 1/2 pic.twitter.com/9vbnMPnoAh

On Monday, MP Motorsport confirmed that they would continue with their current lineup, as they have yet to announce their second driver for the duration of the 2021 season.
In Bahrain, he picked up an impressive haul of points, including his highest finish of fourth in the Feature Race. He also showed off his ability to overtake by coming through the field, to finish fifth in the second Sprint Race after retiring due to contact in Sprint Race 1. His first weekend left him in sixth in the current driver standings.
Before moving up to Formula 2, Verschoor raced for MP in the Formula 3 Championship for two years. During this time he won the Macau Grand Prix after overtaking current F2 driver, Jüri Vips.
Verschoor tweeted that he is “super excited” and that he is, hopefully, “another step closer for a full season” after some support from his partners.
After a long break from Formula 2, this weekend we’re finally back for Monaco. It’s known for being a difficult track but a track where many good drivers can shine, and we can’t wait to see how this year’s grid will do.
