Frederik Vesti finished third in Round 8’s Feature Race in Austria. He out-scored his nearest title rival, Théo Pourchaire.
In the post-race press conference, insideF2’s Fraser Ford asked Vesti about the importance of momentum during the Summer where races come quickly for Formula 2.
As championship leader, it will be important for him to take as many points as possible to hold off Pourchaire and Ayumu Iwasa but he also noted how important it will be to take more calculated risks:
“There is two answers to that. One is that you don’t think about it and you just go for the win every time. The other one is that if there if there is a place where there is a high risk you can maybe think a little bit more about it.”
“But, the thing is if you think too much about it, it is definitely not going to help, so it is important to clear the head, and to go for every point and every race win possible.”
