We at InsideF2 are very excited to be working with Spanish F4 driver Hugh Barter this season.
He will be sharing some fascinating insight into Formula 4 and his upcoming campaign.
The Japanese-Australian talent will be driving for Campos Racing in the Spanish F4 Championship.
The highly-rated Melbournian will be joining some great drivers at Campos in Georg Kelstrup, Nikola Tsolov and Filip Jenic.
Barter is embarking on his second year of single-seater racing in 2022 after finishing second in the ultra competitive French F4 Championship last year.
He won two races in 2021 including a superb drive at Nogaro before triumphing at Magny-Cours during the final round of the campaign.
Barter is very happy to be joining Campos, he said: “I feel extremely excited and honoured to join such a prestigious and well known team. We will be giving it our all this year to come home with the championship title.”
The Campos Racing Sporting Director Adrián Campos added: “It’s such a pleasure to have a vastly experienced F4 driver as Hugh, who was Vice-Champion in the French series last year. Our goal is to improve that result working together.”
Campos’ new recruit will combine his Spanish F4 efforts with a second season in the French F4 Championship this year.
Prior to Barter’s single-seater exploits the Campos driver enjoyed a stellar karting career. He delivered multiple victories and was selected to represent Australia on the International stage on numerous occasions.
Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo also signed the karting sensation to his Ricciardo Kart Factory Team in 2020 as a lead driver.
The teenagers 2022 season kicks off on the 16th of April at Nogaro in French F4 before his Spanish F4 campaign begins on the 29th of May.
