Zane Maloney arrives at Rodin Carlin with a great season under his belt. Maloney had put together a late title bid in Formula 3, ending the season with three Feature Races in a row.
“The test went well, we gathered a lot of data and learnt a lot going into Round 1,” reported the 19-year-old Barbadian who was second in the 2022 F3 championship.
“Of course, there’s still so much work to be done throughout the season to continue improving, but I think we’re starting in a good place.”
Expectations are high following the strong 2022 season Rodin Carlin put together.
Maloney, arriving in F2 after such an impressive F3 season means he is riding on a wave of momentum, and hoping to convert that into immediate F2 success.
“Bahrain is a very tricky circuit. With it being very hot and the circuit being rough tarmac, it’s difficult as the tires are always overheating, and whoever can manage that the best will have a good result.”
“It’s important to stay calm, it’s my first Formula 2 weekend, so I will be trying to get two decent results to start the season off with good confidence to move forward.”
